Versus

An Enemy's Ally Segment 2Hang in there, its almost sunset. I could hear the panic in her whisper. Her pulse still hammered through her veins, I could hear it so clearly, and it wasnt helping the burning hunger I was battling with. Here in this small hunters shack, her scent pounded at my self-control, I was almost glad I couldnt see her from under the blanket shed thrown over me when we'd stumbled through the door. Damn blanket wasnt big enough to cover the entire window. Unlike me, she could at least take a little sunlight. I hated feeling so helpless.
